Dear colleagues and friends,
Partners of EC Horizon 2020 COMPACT project are organizing two sessions during the upcoming Congress of the Polish Communication Association (PCA).
It is our pleasure to invite you to these lively events, dedicated to the ever increasing role of social media in the convergent environment and the future tendencies of the digital society.
The objective of the COMPACT project is to raise awareness among key stakeholders of the state of the art on social media and convergence and to provide a vision on the policy and regulation of social media and other phenomena.
As food for thought you will find attached several short materials that will inform discussions, demanding our consideration and opinion in the debate. These highlights encompass findings within COMPACT on global suggestions for social media regulation and draw attention to such consequences of digital society like digital identity, bots and their impact on democracy, immersive technologies, microtargeting and the possible harms it may entail and the role of influencers.
We are looking forward to meeting you at PCA Congress at COMPACT sessions to exchange ideas on the growing social media universe and fast developing digital technologies!
